SEO FOUNDATIONS · AEG'S OWN WEBSITE
A clearer next step for a real website.
A focused audit turns observations into a practical improvement list. This example uses AEG Media Group's own website, with an editorial review of the homepage, contact page and lawn-care website service page, plus a technical spot check of six marketing pages.
Audit snapshot: September 11, 2026. The changes below are recommendations from that dated review. This is an audit example, with no claimed ranking, traffic or client results.
What we implemented next
On September 12, we published smaller responsive JPEG images and a branded sharing preview. The full-size image files were 89–91% smaller than their original PNGs; the originals were preserved. We checked the published image types, exact file contents and sharing metadata on our domain.
The service guide was then expanded to cover the full media offering, with a matching inquiry choice for each service. These are verified website changes. Search rankings, traffic and customer results have not been measured.
The foundations already present
The six marketing pages returned successfully and each had a page title, description, one main heading and a canonical URL. Every inspected image had an alt attribute; the audit did not score the quality of those descriptions. The crawl rules linked to a reachable sitemap, and a deliberately missing page returned a 404 response with noindex metadata.
Before → recommended change → why
| Before: observed | Recommended change | Why and how to check it |
|---|---|---|
| Four source images were 2.80–3.41 MB each. | Prepare appropriately sized modern image variants while preserving the originals and the design. | Reduce unnecessary image bytes. Compare file size and visual quality at mobile and desktop sizes. This finding is not a measured speed-score failure. |
| No sharing image was declared on the six marketing pages. | Create one AEG branded sharing image and add explicit preview metadata. | Make shared links easier to recognize. Preview a real shared URL and inspect the title, image and legibility. |
| The homepage description combined several sentences and service details. | Use a shorter description focused on the main offer and next action. | Help a visitor understand the page. Review the copy against the visible offer and verify the published metadata. |
| The contact page prepared an unsent inquiry. | Keep the preparation notice clear and offer useful copy/email options. | Make the next step understandable. Check that a prepared inquiry is never described as sent. |
A concrete copy recommendation
The suggested homepage description focused the offer into one short summary:
Websites, SEO foundations and social media strategy for businesses and individuals. Explore AEG Media Group's examples and discuss your project.
That recommendation preserves the business-and-individual audience and gives the page a clear purpose. It does not imply that wording alone improves search position.
What a foundations review delivers
- A defined page inventory and dated observations.
- A prioritized action list with a reason for each change.
- Title, description and on-page copy recommendations for the agreed pages.
- Checks for the agreed changes and a measurement plan.
Search indexing and performance need separate evidence from the site's reporting tools. This sample did not inspect Search Console or measure rankings, impressions, clicks, inquiries or revenue. Implementation and ongoing reporting are agreed separately.
